A Tattslotto syndicate that suspects a colleague pocketed a $16.7 million Powerball win may seek to freeze the funds as they await proof of whether the ticket was purchased with their money. The group of 14 Geelong transport workers have taken their concerns to the Victorian Supreme Court, which on Thursday ordered Tattslotto to hand over details of the winner’s identity and details of how he paid for the ticket.

WICKED National Tour Sets Lottery Policy for Denver Run

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to Denver with performances from June 3-July 5. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Buell Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.

The bill would allow winners of multi-state games such as Mega Millions, Powerball and Lucky for Life to remain anonymous. Bill sponsor Rep. Ray Franz says the measure is needed to protect people who win large amounts of money and then are barraged with requests for financial help or face pressure to leave their jobs even if they wish to continue working.
