South Carolina Education Lottery officials are looking for the individual who purchased a winning lottery ticket for $1 million in Florence last October. The deadline to redeem the ticket is Thursday, and if nobody comes forward, it will be the largest unclaimed prize in the state Lottery’s history, according to a press release.

An Iowa lottery worker is set to stand trial this summer for allegedly gaming the state’s Hot Lotto game in an attempt to fraudulently collect a $14.3 million jackpot. Eddie Raymond Tipton of Norwalk, Iowa, was arrested in January and was charged with two counts of fraud, according to a statement from the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Division of Criminal Investigation.

Powerball jackpot won in Puerto Rico; La Lotto rolls over

A ticket sold in Puerto Rico claimed the $50 million multi-state Powerball jackpot Saturday, while nobody won the $450,000 Louisiana Lotto drawing. Louisiana lottery officials say the winning numbers drawn in the Powerball were: 13, 22, 23, 29, 31 and Powerball 17. In the Lotto drawing, the numbers drawn were: 6, 8, 17, 32, 36 and 37. Ten tickets matched five of the numbers and each is worth $2,466.

76 people 'made 41% of donations'

The first Sunday Times Political Rich List, published this weekend, found that 25 individuals had given more than A 1 million each, accounting for 28% of A 174.4 million donated in private and corporate cash between 2010 and 2014.
