NBA Western Conference Finals: Thunders shove Warriors to brink of elimination

The Oklahoma City Thunders are just one win away from the NBA Finals series after a 118-94 victory against the Golden State Warriors.

The Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals is a must win for the Warriors after they suffered a 133-105 loss in Game 3. But they chose the worst possible time to lose two games in a row for the first time.

The Warriors began to fall behind in the second quarter and started taking quick shots that the Thunder gladly gobbled up. Oklahoma out-rebounded the Warriors by 14 on Tuesday night and every missed Warrior shot ended up in the hands of Russell Westbrook who had 36 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists—his first triple-double in the playoffs after posting 18 in the regular season. Kevin Durant added 26 points and 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

Aside from that, KD and RW are finally finding the right balance and cohesion with their shot attempts and the ability to get the others involved. The role players are taking their games to new levels. Andre Roberson and Serge Ibaka chipped in 17 points apiece while Steve Adams scored 11 points and Dion Waiters with 10.

SJM Holdings CEO doesn’t see any “miracle” that will end Macau’s slump

Macau casino operator SJM Holdings says it will request up to 500 gaming tables for its in-development Lisboa Palace, but the company may be setting itself up for disappointment.

SJM originally claimed it would seek up to 700 gaming tables for its $4b Lisboa Palace resort, the company’s first property on Cotai. But on Friday, SJM CEO Ambrose So (pictured) said the company now intended to apply for “400 to 500” new tables when the property nears completion.

Speaking on the sidelines of a European Chamber of Commerce gala dinner, So said Lisboa Palace deserved 500 tables because the property’s plans had designated 95% of its floor space for non-gaming elements, in keeping with requests by governments in both Macau and Beijing for the gaming hub to lessen its dependence on gambling revenue.

However, the two new resorts that opened in 2015 – Galaxy Entertainment Group’s Galaxy Macau Phase 2 and Melco Crown Entertainment’s Studio City – each originally sought around 400 new tables, only to receive 250 tables apiece, despite making the same 95% non-gaming pledges.

Ainsworth President Latinoamerica, Miguel Cuardos, expands on his aspirations for Juegos Miami

Are you looking forward to Juegos Miami and what are your hopes and aspirations for this new event?

Absolutely! Juegos Miami has been in the radar for the Ainsworth Latin-American division for quite some time. We have been supportive of this event and believe this is a great location and a perfect city to gather gaming influencers from all regions in a relaxed, productive environment.

Our hope is to see Juegos Miami turn into an exclusive event for the Latin-American gaming community. Although operators and manufacturers continue to support the existing successful local trade shows, we truly believe the region is in need of a major show that consolidates the best of the industry into one major event.

How would you assess the attractions of Miami as a host city?

Worldpay Reveals FA Cup Final Betting Bonanza

London – May 2016 – Following this weekend’s tense FA Cup Final, figures from Worldpay, the global leader in payments, reveal that British bookmakers experienced a 40%* increase in online transactions, as football fans got caught up in the excitement surrounding the match.

The build-up around the final saw betting peak two hours before the match, at which point Worldpay was processing 30% more bets than the average weekend.

This year’s final also saw a 20% increase in in-play betting compared to earlier weeks, with Worldpay processing up to 50 transactions per second just minutes after kick-off, highlighting the number of fans topping up their online accounts ahead of the live action. Worldpay’s figures reveal a second spike at the beginning of extra time, which no doubt led to a flurry of punters seeking to capitalise on bet in-play offers.

Interestingly, average transaction values during the match were 5% below average, suggesting that the FA Cup attracts more casual punters looking for a flutter on the big day.

NetBet Rate West Ham as Punters Most Profitable Premier League Side

Online gambling firm NetBet cast an inquisitive eye on the 2015/16 Premier League season and came to the conclusion that West Ham were the punters best friend.

The 2015/16 English Premier League (EPL) season was a fairytale. It was the great seducer of those who had forgotten what is was like for the underdog to end the season chewing on a piece of steak.

Leicester City, the 5,000-1 outsiders, were the EPL Champions. Jamie Vardy exchanged a bone for the Football Writer’s Player of the Year award. Hollywood script writers are turning the biggest upset in sporting history into a fricking movie.

But can history repeat itself?
