Cleveland Cavaliers win first NBA title

The 52-year drought is over.

LeBron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers made a history on Sunday as they bring home their city’s first pro sports championship win since 1964 and its first NBA title in franchise history.

The Cavs also become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3–1 deficit in the seven-game series, after defeating Golden State Warriors 93-89 on Sunday at Oracle Arena.

The Golden State Warriors couldn’t take advantage while playing Game 7 on their home court. Stephen Curry hit some early shots and Draymond Green flirted with a triple double. But neither were enough to stop LeBron James, who finished with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds to join Jerry West and James Worthy as the only players to record a triple double in the NBA Finals. James delivered on his promise of two years ago to deliver an NBA Championship and end Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought.

Euro 2016 Round Up: France, Italy and Spain Qualify For Knockout Phase

Hosts France, reigning champions Spain, and the Italians have all qualified for the knockout phase of Euro 2016 after coming through their second round of matches with unbeaten runs intact.

Italy followed France into the knockout phase of Euro 2016 after a moment of brilliance from the Sampdoria striker Eder in a game of few chances against Sweden in Toulouse. The Italians go through as group leaders with a match to spare.

The Italian broke the deadlock in the 88th minute after weaving through the Swedish back line before curling a low shot into the back of the net. It was only the second chance of note. The first coming in the 81st minute when Marco Parolo headed the ball against the Swedish crossbar following a pinpoint cross from Emanuele Giaccherini. It was the 11th time in the championships that a side has scored a goal beyond the 85th minute.

It was a classic Italian performance: compact, defensive, boring. Giorgio Chiellini didn’t give Zlatan Ibrahimovic a kick, and because of that, the Swedes never looked likely to become the first side in this championships to put the ball past Gianluigi Buffon.

What is a Company Without Customers: An Online Poker Customer Experience

Lee Davy shares his online poker experience and his belief that the art of storytelling is the key to modern marketing.

I downloaded the software, signed up, deposited money that didn’t belong to me, and promptly lost it.

I tried again, this time on a different site. The same happened, only over a longer period.

“You should try this new site,” said a friend of mine.

WSOP Review: Magnificent Mercier Wins Two in a Week

Lee Davy brings you a round-up of all the main action at the 47th Annual World Series of Poker including a second bracelet for Jason Mercier in a week.

Jason Mercier has won his second bracelet of the week in the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, his fifth of his career, and he did so after suffering the crushing blow of losing heads-up to Ray Dehkharghni in the $10,000 Seven-Card Razz.

It’s quite a remarkable achievement for a man who wrote in his PokerStars blog that he just wanted to go to bed after being denied the opportunity to become the first player to win back-to-back $10,000 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Championship events.

The victory also nets Mercier an undisclosed and sizeable chunk of change from side action. We already know that Fedor Holz lost $200,000 to Mercier after he won his first bracelet, and Mercier himself said there was more money coming his way if he was to win two.
