NBA Finals Game 7 – Angles, Odds and Predictions

We are going to an NBA Finals Game 7. That much is certain. What’s uncertain is who’s going to win. How you arrive at your final decision depends on your perspective.

THE ANGLE FROM THE CAVALIERS

Last season, LeBron James was in the midst of putting together the greatest NBA Finals performance of all time. He averaged 35.8 points per game, along with 13.3 boards and 8.8 assists. It’s a run that we’ve very rarely seen at this stage.

In this version of the NBA Finals, LeBron is putting up equal numbers of 30.2ppg, 11.3 rebounds and 8.5 boards. In other words, he’s playing out of his goddamn mind and a ton of pressure is taken off of him offensively because Kyrie is playing at a level that we’ve never seen from him. Beast Mode LeBron is unequivocal.

Cavaliers stay alive in NBA Finals

Back-to-back championship and a do-or-die game.

That was the storyline of Game 5 as the Cleveland Cavaliers handled the Golden State Warriors at 120-90 to stave off elimination on Tuesday,

The Warriors and the fans entered the game outraged by Draymond Green’s suspension, after the NBA league ruled Sunday that he made “unnecessary contact with a retaliatory swipe” at LeBron James’s groin in Game 4.

As brutal as the suspension is, Green had three flagrant foul points including instances when he was dinged for throwing down Houston Rockets’ Michael Beasley during the regular season and another groin-related incident with Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams. He also tripped Enes Kanter, although no penalty was assigned to that act.

Cavs back in NBA Finals after Game 3 blowout

Follow Lebron James’lead and do your job!

That’s how James and the rest of Cleveland Cavaliers snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Golden State Warriors by a score of 120-90 on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavs entered Game 3 of the NBA Finals on the heels of a 33-point loss to the Warriors on Sunday, facing a 0-2 deficit, and without the third member of the team’s Big Three, Kevin Love.

Stillthe Cavs pulled their season from the brink of disaster after getting a 105-point performance.

Why Aren’t the Cleveland Cavaliers Ready for the NBA Finals?

Last year there were plenty of excuses out there for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving broke his knee cap, and Kevin Love was out of action. They also couldn’t have possibly seen the Warriors coming, as the San Antonio Spurs remained the Western Conference favorites for almost all of last year’s campaign. Nobody expected Golden State to turn in to some sort of juggernaut.

There’s none of that this year. Sure, the Golden State Warriors morphed in to the best team in NBA history somewhere along the way, but it’s not like Cleveland couldn’t have spent the entire season preparing for them anyways. The Cavs knew in their hearts that they were coming out of the Eastern Conference and that they’d face an immense challenge.

I don’t buy the notion that a team that emerges from the grueling gauntlet in the Western Conference playoffs has been forged by fire. Not in this situation. Cleveland only lost two games as they crushed the Pistons, Hawks and Raptors in succession but along the way there has to be some sort of idea that they were going to spend those 12 to 15 games grinding themselves in to an impossible sword.

Isn’t that the whole point of the season?

Golden State takes 1-0 lead in NBA Finals

The Golden State picked up a win in the NBA Finals opener after a 104-89 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Warriors and the Cavs face off in the NBA Finals for the second year in a row on Friday—a rematch most of the basketball predicted and both has an inviting storyline.

The Golden State produced the best record in NBA history this season. But since 73-9 don’t mean a thing without a ring, the Dubs are now chasing this season’s championship to cap its record-breaking regular season with a second consecutive championship.

The Cavs are on a mission to bring the Cleveland its first NBA crown or major sports crown since the 1964 NFL Browns. The team fell short last year as the Warriors beat the injury-depleted Cavs. But with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving being healthy this season and Lebron James, who reached his sixth NBA Finals—the longest run by any player in half a century, they have the chance now have the chance to avenge that defeat and achieve the goal.

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Cleveland Cavaliers clinch a trip to NBA Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers eliminate the Toronto Raptors from the NBA Eastern Conference Finals in a 113-87 Game 6 victory.

The Cavaliers have LeBron James, and the Toronto Raptors don’t.

That is just one of the reason why the Cavs is now heading to its second consecutive NBA Finals. C’mon guys, I’m not a Cavs fan although I put my money on them once in a while but we have to give respect a guy who can bring any team in the Finals.

James is now going to its sixth NBA Finlas, the first player to do so in 50 years.

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Cavs take 3-2 lead against Raptors

The Cleveland Cavaliers came back to life with a 116-78 victory, after losing back-to-back games against the Toronto Raptors.

“There’s no place like home.”

That has become the theme of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Raptors, with 8-2 at home post-season, boast the strongest home-court advantage of any team left in the NBA Playoffs. But they have been the exact opposite on the road.

The Raptors went into Game 5 with momentum after beating the odds to win their last two meetings in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference final. Now that the Game 5 is back in Cleveland, LeBron James and company regained the advantage in the series at 3-2.

NBA Western Conference Finals: Thunders shove Warriors to brink of elimination

The Oklahoma City Thunders are just one win away from the NBA Finals series after a 118-94 victory against the Golden State Warriors.

The Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals is a must win for the Warriors after they suffered a 133-105 loss in Game 3. But they chose the worst possible time to lose two games in a row for the first time.

The Warriors began to fall behind in the second quarter and started taking quick shots that the Thunder gladly gobbled up. Oklahoma out-rebounded the Warriors by 14 on Tuesday night and every missed Warrior shot ended up in the hands of Russell Westbrook who had 36 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists—his first triple-double in the playoffs after posting 18 in the regular season. Kevin Durant added 26 points and 11 rebounds and 4 assists.

Aside from that, KD and RW are finally finding the right balance and cohesion with their shot attempts and the ability to get the others involved. The role players are taking their games to new levels. Andre Roberson and Serge Ibaka chipped in 17 points apiece while Steve Adams scored 11 points and Dion Waiters with 10.

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Raptors even up East Finals against Cavs

The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered back-to-back loss on Monday against the Toronto Raptors in Eastern Conference Finals.

Game 4 of the East Finals looked exactly like Game 3: Raptors are on home turf with Kyle Lowry scoring 35 points and leading the team to even the series at 105-99.

DeMar DeRozan had 32 points and DeMarre Carroll chipped in with 11 points. Bismack Biyombo added 6 points but pulled down 14 rebounds.

Toronto dominated three quarters and then thwarted a near-perfect quarter by Cleveland. Cleveland captured the lead in the third and fourth quarter, but Toronto still beat them.

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Raptors end Cavaliers’ post season winning streak

The underrated Toronto Raptors had their revenge against the Cleveland Cavaliers at a 99-84 win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Has the Raptors finally found its rhythm to beat the Cleveland like what they did during the regular season, or was it just tough luck for Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love?

It wasn’t good for the Raptors in Game 1 and Game 2, but it was a total turn around as the Raptors beat the Cavs on home turf cutting their series deficit to 2-1.

DeRozan hit the shots he needed and led the Raptors with 34 points. Kyle Lowry, after two bad games in Cleveland is back with 20 points. Cory Joseph added 14, and Patrick Patterson and DeMarre Carroll each had 10 for the Raptors.

NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Cavaliers cruise to 2-0 series lead against Raptors

The Cleveland Cavaliers seized a 2-0 lead in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals with a 108-89 victory against the Toronto Raptors.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final wasn’t pretty for the Raptors and Drake, but they had revenge on their minds to even up the series in Game 2. Even with the better effort, Lebron James and Co. showed no signs of cooling off against the Toronto.

The defending Eastern Conference champions are still undefeated in the postseason, thanks to the Big Three of James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. James posted a triple-double 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, surpassing Shaquille O’Neal on the all-time playoff scoring list. Thursday night also marked his 15th career playoff triple-double and first this postseason.

“I admired what he was able to do out on the floor by pure force and dominance,” James told ESPN. “His ability to play at that speed, to have that size and to carry that type of force that he had.”
