USA Fencing, the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of fencing in the United States, has named TOGETHXR, the fastest-growing and most engaging women’s sports media company, as its Official Media Partner in a two-year deal that will bring TOGETHXR’S award-winning storytelling platform to a sport whose athletes are on one of the most dominant runs in American Olympic history.
The partnership, which runs through 2028, will center on the road to the Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics, following the fencing athletes as they train, compete and chase gold on home soil. Under the agreement, TOGETHXR will have access to USA Fencing athletes, teams and competitions to produce documentary-style content, behind-the-scenes features and social-first storytelling designed to introduce the sport and its culture to new audiences. The two organizations will also coordinate cross-platform amplification, joint marketing campaigns and talent cross-participation at major events in both fencing and the broader women’s sports landscape.
The deal arrives at a moment when women’s fencing in the United States has never been stronger. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lee Kiefer OLY defended her individual foil gold medal and then helped lead the U.S. Women’s Foil team to its first-ever Olympic team gold — the first team gold for any American fencing squad in Olympic history. Lauren Scruggs OLY earned individual silver, becoming the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic fencing medal.
At the 2025 World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia, Kiefer won her first individual world title in the event’s 96-year history, and the Women’s Foil team took gold again. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Jaelyn Liu burst onto the world stage, winning three gold medals at the 2025 Junior and Cadet World Championships and becoming the youngest American ever to win a senior World Cup event.
The momentum extends to the collegiate level. In March, the NCAA crowned its first-ever standalone women’s fencing champion when Notre Dame edged Columbia at the Joyce Center in South Bend, Ind. The new championship format, the result of years of advocacy by USA Fencing and the collegiate fencing community, gave women-only programs a legitimate path to the national team title for the first time since 1989. That milestone came after the NCAA Division I Council voted last June to establish separate men’s and women’s championships, correcting a gender equity issue identified in the league’s comprehensive review of its championship structure.
