There are just 3 days left until the 4th edition of the Prague Gaming Summit will open its doors and the organizer would like to point out that you lookout for a very informative Fireside Chat in the program.

As you may know, compared to other traditional presentation formats, a fireside chat is an informal, yet structured dialogue between a speaker and a moderator, who focuses on adding a casual tone to the conversation while providing massive value to the audience. And European Gaming Media and Events organized conferences have the best of them.

Sports bettor ‘Parlay Patz’ charged with threatening athletes

A youthful sports bettor who won fame last year for winning over a million dollars has been charged with threatening violence against professional and college athletes as well as their families.

On Wednesday, the US Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida charged Benjamin Tucker Patz aka Parlay Patz with transmitting threats in interstate or foreign commerce. If convicted, Patz could spend up to five years in federal prison.

The 23-year-old Patz received media coverage late last year after he won over $1.1m in less than two months on parlay wagers with New Jersey sportsbooks operated by William Hill. But the complaint filed Wednesday suggests that Patz was anything but a winner outside the sportsbook.

The complaint features testimony from an FBI agent who detailed numerous incidents in which Patz sent messages to athletes via his Instagram account. Some of these messages referenced unsuccessful bets that Patz had placed on these athletes’ teams and expressed his view that the athletes had cost him money.

Sportradar in UK footie data fight, wins Russian betting license?

Sports betting data provider Sportradar has filed a formal complaint against rival Betgenius for bogarting UK football data, while a new Russian bookmaker appears to be piggybacking on Sportradar’s brand.

On Wednesday, Sportradar announced that it had “served legal proceedings” against Betgenius and Football DataCo (FDC) “in relation to the current structure for the licensing and distribution of live data from FDC football leagues for betting purposes.”

Sportradar said it had embarked upon this legal action “with reluctance” and only after finding it impossible to find “a fair solution that enables it to build its own database and to compete effectively” in the markets in which FDC is the big data daddy.

Last May, Betgenius inked a multi-year deal with FDC, which holds the rights to data from the English Premier League, English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League. The deal provided exclusive access to what Genius Sports Group CEO Mark Locke called “some of the most valuable sports betting content in the world.”

NBA Thursday odds: Warriors, Clippers underdogs

For the second Thursday in a row the NBA schedule is just four games and the nightcap of the TNT doubleheader features the horrible Golden State Warriors at home in what looks like a huge mismatch.

Odds courtesy of OddsShark.com

Last week, the Dubs were drubbed 116-86 in that slot by the Los Angeles Lakers even though LeBron James sat out for Los Angeles. This Thursday at 10:30pm ET the Warriors host the Toronto Raptors in an NBA Finals rematch. The last time the Dinos visited Golden State was Game 6 of the 2019 Finals, but at Oracle Arena in Oakland – the Warriors now play at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Toronto won that game 114-110 to clinch its first-ever NBA title. It would be the last game that Kawhi Leonard would play for the Raptors as he left in free agency. Warriors All-Star guard Klay Thompson tore his ACL in it, which will sideline him all this season. The Raptors probably will miss Oracle as they were 4-0 there last season including the playoffs. Toronto is -10.5 this time and 6-1 ATS in its past seven games against Western Conference opponents.

We’ve helped you organise how to restructure your diet, revolutionised your sleep patterns, assisted you in keeping on top of your mental health and even given you some tips for travelling.

We now come to a vital and often overlooked aspect of poker, namely what to wear when you’re at the table. On the face of it, you might think, it sounds easy. You get up in the morning, you take a shower and throw on some clothes. Right? Wrong.

Here are five ways you improve your ability to wear clothes and have a positive effect on your poker game.

1. Plan your wardrobe

King’s Casino bans Italian residents after Coronavirus fears

In shock news, Europe’s largest poker room, King’s Casino in Rozvadov, has declared that all Italian players will not be welcomed at its casino due to the possibility of transmitting the COVID-19 – or Coronavirus – infection.

While just under 100,000 cases have been reported worldwide, with an estimated death rate of 3.4% being declared by the World Health Organisation (WHO), King’s Casino regularly organizes events for players who travel from a specific country – such as Italy – to play in Rozvadov. Barely anyone lives in Rozvadov to play poker, with the King’s resort almost exclusively welcoming travelling players, so the exclusion point may be a valid one, but Italian only?

The King’s Casino statement in full is unequivocal in its specificity of the request:

“King’s Resort communicates with regret to its customers that, given the evolution of the epidemic phenomenon coronavirus that for a few hours has been interested in the Czech Republic (with two [cases] contracted in Prague after visiting Italy), in order to safeguard the health of our international guests and prevent the spread of the Covid-19, we have chosen to completely limit access in all areas of the casino, not even accepting hotel reservations, to all residents and coming from Italy indefinitely, canceling from now all the events of March and April 2020 that target mainly target the audience mentioned above.

Hard Rock Int’l resolves Spanish casino project’s land issues

Casino operator Hard Rock International (HRI) has finally received some good news regarding its long-delayed Spanish integrated resort project.

On Wednesday, Spanish media reported that the government in Spain’s Catalan region had brokered a €120m deal to acquire the land near the coastal city of Tarragona on which HRI hopes to build its €2b Hard Rock Entertainment World resort.

The deal will see a government-owned company known as Incasòl pay €120m for the property currently owned by Mediterranea Beach & Golf Community, which is itself owned by Criteria Caixa, a development arm of La Caixa bank. Incasòl will then sell the property to HRI for the same price, which hopefully will allow the long-stalled project to finally go forward.

HRI originally partnered with Melco International Development to bid on a Catalan casino license but Melco bowed out in favor of pursuing a separate project in Cyprus. HRI pushed on alone and was ultimately awarded the license in May 2018 but its problems were only just beginning.
